Marie Mitchell • Guitar Marie Mitchell left the Sunshine State of Florida to get a taste of the Big Easy - New Orleans. While living in the French Quarter, she met her Cajun man Leighton Nunez. Eight years later, they traveled north to the Last Frontier, Alaska. They moved into a log cabin in Ester Alaska. During the long dark winter nights, Leighton played many cajun and bluegrass tunes as well as created original songs to pass the time. Marie picked up the guitar to play rhythm sounds while Leighton jammed on the mandolin and Jessica, his daughter, played percussion on the cheese grater.
Now one CD later and another on the way, Marie continues to strum along with their new group Lousiaska.
